Bramayugam, the highly anticipated period action thriller which stars Mammootty in the lead role, has been garnering the attention of cine-goers with its trailer. The project, which marks the megastar’s first collaboration with director Rahul Sadasivan, also stars Arjun Ashokan in a pivotal role. Ahead of its grand theatrical release on February 15, 2024, Bramayugam has now completed the UAE and GCC censor formalities. Thus, the Mammootty-starrer is now confirmed to have a massive overseas release.

The period action thriller, which is getting released in five languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, has completed the UAE and GCC censor formalities. Bramayugam has now bagged a PG13 rating from the UAE censor board. This rating makes the Mammootty-starrer suitable for audiences above the age of 13, but only with Parental Guidance.

Bramayugam, which has also completed the censor formalities at the GCC countries, bagged 15+, R15, and T ratings from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, respectively. As reported earlier, the horror thriller has bagged a U/A certificate from the censor board of India. The movie reportedly has a duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes If the reports are to be believed, the Rahul Sadasivan directorial is set to get the all-time biggest overseas release in the career of its leading man Mammootty.

All about Bramayugam

Mammootty is set to play the role of Kunjamon Potti, a mysterious man who lives in a crumbling Mana (mansion) in the highly anticipated film. Arjun Ashokan reportedly appears in the role of Thevan, a folklore singer from the Paanan community, who gets trapped inside Potti’s Mana. From the official trailer which won the internet, it is safe to assume that Bramayugam is going to be an edge-of-the-seat experience for Malayalam cinema audiences.

Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R Achari, appear in the supporting roles in the Rahul Sadasivan directorial. Christo Xavier composes the songs and original score. Shehnad Jalal ISC is the director of photography. Shafique Mohamed Ali handles the editing. Bramayugam is produced by the banners Night Shift Studios and Y Not Studios.
