Mammootty is now winning the internet with his stellar appearance in the recently released Bramayugam trailer. As you may know, the makers of the highly anticipated Rahul Sadasivan directorial released the trailer at the grand event held in Abu Dhabi, recently. The horror-period thriller, which marks the first onscreen collaboration of the actor-director duo, is slated to hit the big screens on February 15, 2024.

Mammootty, who addressed the audience at the Bramayugam trailer launch event, opened up about the horror-period thriller and made some interesting revelations about the film’s plot. The megastar’s speech from the grand event is now going viral on social media.

Bramayugam is set in the 18th century, reveals Mammootty

The megastar of Malayalam cinema, who is all excited about Bramayugam, extensively spoke about the film at the trailer launch event. Interestingly, Mammootty confirmed that the Rahul Sadasivan directorial is indeed a period film, which is made in the black-and-white format, and set in the end period of the 18th century. According to the veteran actor, Bramayugam is going to be a new visual experience for the Malayalam cinema audiences, especially the younger generation.

Mammootty revealed that Bramayugam depicts the story around the same period when the Portuguese invasion happened in India. That period, during which India witnessed drastic changes in its social and political atmosphere, played a key role in the narrative of Bramayugam. The megastar’s revelations have left the Malayalam cinema audiences excited to witness a black-and-white experience on big screens after a very long gap.

Mammootty’s special request to fans

As reported earlier, Mammootty also requested his fans and cine-goers to watch Bramayugam with an open mind. The veteran actor stated that having any preconceived notions about the movie might eve ntually spoil the experience for the audience. During his speech, the National award-winner asked the audiences to watch the Rahul Sadasivan directorial without any major expectations and be open to whatever the film brings to the silver screens.
