Bramayugam, the period horror thriller which hit the big screens on February 15, 2024, has opened to excellent reviews. The movie, which features megastar Mammootty in the lead role, has won the hearts of audiences with its brilliant making and performances. Interestingly, the Rahul Sadasivan directorial has also highly impressed the film industry members, including the Neru director Jeethu Joseph. The renowned filmmaker heaped praises on the movie with a social media post, recently.

Jeethu Joseph praises Bramayugam

The hitmaker, who recently watched Bramayugam in theatre, is highly impressed with the Rahul Sadasivan directorial. Jeethu Joseph recently took to his official social media handles and shared a still of leading man Mammootty from the film, along with a special note. “Watched "BRAMAYUGAM". Totally a new cinematic experience. A theater must watch. Performances – Mammootty, Arjun Ashok, Sidharth Bharathan (heart-eyed emojis), and hatsoff to Rahul Sadasivan and all the technicians,” reads the Drishyam director’s post.

Interestingly, the fans of both Mammootty and Jeethu Joseph are now requesting the filmmaker to collaborate with the megastar, in the comments section of his post. For the uninitiated, the veteran actor and hitmaker were in talks for a couple of projects including the Drishyam franchise, a few years back. However, none of them materialized, due to various reasons. But in a recent interview, Jeethu confirmed that he is indeed planning to team up with the megastar soon, for a project.


All about Bramayugam

Mammootty played the role of Kudamon Potti, a mysterious man who belongs to a family of wizards, in the Rahul Sadasivan directorial. Arjun Ashokan appeared in the role of Thevan, a folk singer from the Paanan caste, who gets trapped with Potti in the latter’s crumbling mansion. Actor-director Sidharth Bharathan, on the other hand, played the role of Kudamon Potti’s cook who stays in the mansion with a hidden agenda.

Bramayugam is jointly penned by Rahul Sadasivan and TD Ramakrishnan. Christo Xavier has composed the songs and the original score. Shehnad Jalal, ISC, is the director of photography. Shafique Mohamed Ali handled the editing. Jothish Shankar and the team handled the production design. The Rahul Sadasivan directorial is produced by Night Shift Studios and Y Not Studios.
