Bramayugam new poster – Mammootty looks unrecognisable in his villainous avatar

Mammootty is joining hands with Rahul Sadasivan, the filmmaker who made an impression with his 2022-released film Bhoothakaalam, for his next outing. The highly anticipated project, which has been titled Bramayugam, has garnered the attention of audiences with his extraordinary first look and second look posters that shell out major eerie vibes. Now, on the special occasion of New Year 2024, Mammootty is winning the internet with the new poster of Bramayugam.

Mammootty looks unrecognizable in the new Bramayugam poster

The stunning new poster of Bramayugam features the veteran actor with a massive crown which reminds us of the ‘Chuvanna Thadi’ and ‘Kathi Vesham’ (antagonists) characters from the performance art form Kathakali. The crown is attached with two pairs of horns. A pair of long peg-shaped extra teeth are also seen in Mammootty’s face, along with a silver eye mask that reminds us of Theyyam. His face is also traditionally painted with ink (famously called ‘Chutti kutthal’ in Malayalam). The impressive new poster of Bramayugam confirms that Mammootty’s role in the film indeed has negative shades.

The megastar, who has been surprising his fans and cine-goers with back-to-back experimental projects, is definitely set to push the limits further with Bramayugam. Mammootty looks totally unrecognizable in the stunning new poster of the highly anticipated project, which is touted to be a horror thriller. However, nothing much has been revealed about his character, yet.

Bramayugam – Here's what we know

As per the latest updates, Bramayugam is set to hit the theatres on February 15, 2024, as Mammootty’s first release of the year. The official teaser of the Rahul Sadasivan directorial, which is expected to reveal the release date, is reportedly gearing up for its release. A major update on the same is expected to be out very soon.

The project also features Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta, in pivotal roles. Shehnad Jalal is the director of photography. Christo Xavier has composed the songs and original score. Shafique Mohammed Ali handles the editing. Bramayugam is jointly bankrolled by YNOT Studios and Night Shift Studios.
