Mammootty is joining hands with Bhoothakaalam director Rahul Sadasivan for his next outing, Bramayugam. The project, which is said to be a horror thriller, has not got a release date.
Mammootty is going through a very exciting phase in his acting career, with back-to-back promising projects in his kitty. The veteran actor is joining hands with young filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan, who is best known for the acclaimed horror thriller Bhoothakaalam, for his next outing in Malayalam cinema. The project, which is touted to be a period horror thriller, has been titled Bramayugam. As per the latest updates, the much-awaited project has not got a release date.
Bramayugam to release on THIS date
As reported earlier, the highly anticipated project, which reportedly features Mammootty in a negative role, has got a release date. If the reports are to be believed, Bramayugam is set to hit the theatres on February 15, 2024. The cast and crew members of the Rahul Sadasivan directorial are currently busy with the final round of post-production works of the film. If things go as planned, more highly exciting updates on Bramayugam, including more posters and the official teaser, are expected to be out very soon.
Asif Ali about Mammootty’s role in Bramayugam
As per the reports, the megastar is set to appear in a never-seen-before avatar in Bramayugam, which features a full-fledged negative role. In a recent interview, actor Asif Ali revealed that Mammootty’s script selection is now just ‘unbelievable’ and added that the veteran actor has made a brave choice by choosing to be a part of the horror thriller. The Uyare actor also added that he never imagined Mammootty would say Yes to the project. Interestingly, Asif Ali also hinted that the legendary actor is set to do yet another experiment with his voice modulation, in the Rahul Sadasivan directorial.

Along with Mammootty, the highly anticipated project also features Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta, in pivotal roles. Bramayugam is jointly penned by director Rahul Sadasivan and TD Ramakrishnan. Shehnad Jalal is the director of photography. Christo Xavier has composed the songs and original score. Shafique Mohammed Ali handles the editing. Bramayugam is jointly bankrolled by YNOT Studios and Night Shift Studios.
