Bramayugam, Turbo and other Mammootty films to watch out for in 2024

Mammootty has clearly reinvented himself as an actor, with back-to-back projects that earned both critical acclaim and commercial success. The megastar is currently on a high with the excellent reviews received by his latest outing Kathaal The Core, which astonished cine-goers with both its bold and progressive theme, and stellar performances.

Interestingly, Mammootty continues to be the busiest actor in the Malayalam film industry, with a massive line-up of projects in the pipeline. Here we present the list of the megastar’s upcoming films to watch out for in 2024. Have a look…

Bramayugam

The upcoming horror thriller, which is helmed by Bhoothakalam fame Rahul Sadasivan, is unarguably one of the most anticipated projects of Mammootty in 2024. The veteran actor took social media by storm with his official posters from Bramayugam, which shell out major horror vibes. 

However, nothing much has been revealed about the megastar's role in the movie, which stars Arjun Ashokan, Siddharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz in the other pivotal roles. Bramayugam is expected to hit the theatres by the first half of 2024.

Turbo

The legendary actor is reportedly set to play yet another 'Achayan' role in his career in Turbo, the upcoming mass action thriller directed by hitmaker Vysakh. The project, which is penned by the renowned writer-director Midhun Manuel Thomas, features a stellar star cast including Telugu actor Sunil, Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty, and others, is bankrolled by Mammootty's home banner, Mammootty Kampany.

Bazooka

The National Award-Winning actor is set to play the lead role in Bazooka, the upcoming action thriller that marks the directorial debut of veteran writer Kaloor Dennis's son, Deeno Dennis. Along with Mammootty, the much-awaited project features famous actor-director Gautham Vasudev Menon in a pivotal role. Jagadish, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Sharaf Udheen, Divya Pillai, and others essay the supporting roles in the movie, which is expected to hit the theatres soon.

Mammootty's others projects

Along with these announced projects, the megastar also has a few unannounced projects in his kitty, including the upcoming untitled Amal Neerad directorial, and Ranjan Pramod's next which is bankrolled by Mammootty Kampany. Bilal, another highly anticipated project of the megastar that was announced back in 2017, has been put on the back burner for now. However, the sources suggest that the project is not shelved, and will start rolling by the end of 2024.
