Two days after Trisha called out Leo co-star Mansoor Ali Khan's 'rape scene' remarks, the producers of the film have now hit out at the actor. The film is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and The Route, and Mansoor Ali Khan played a crucial role in it.

Producers say such behavior is unacceptable
Seven Screen Studio, which is bankrolling the film, has now put out a statement against the actor. The producers said that they were deeply dismayed by the behaviour of Mansoor Ali Khan.

The statement of Seven Screen Studio read, "We are deeply dismayed by actor Mansoor Ali Khan's disrespectful speech. Such behavior is unacceptable and completely contradicts our core values of respect and equality. We stand united in condemning this behavior."

Mansoor Ali Khan says he won't apologise
Earlier today Mansoor Ali Khan had called for a press meet and he said that he didn't say anything wrong and that there was no need to apologise. "Why should I apologise? What is a rape scene in cinema? Does that happen for real?" he asked.

He also asked the Nadigar Sangam to retract the letter that they sent to him asking the Leo actor to apologise for his comments about Trisha. Mansoor Ali Khan had earlier stated in an interview that he was upset that he didn't get to do a rape scene with Trisha in Leo. The comment snowballed into a huge controversy and Trisha lashed out at the actor.

Trisha condemns the remark
Trisha wrote on her social media handle that she found the comment sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. "He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind (sic)," she said.

Lokesh Kanagaraj backs Trisha

The film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj then commented on the issue and extended his support to Trisha. He wrote, "Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour (sic)."
