It is the month of surprises, and the world of streaming is making sure their fans and subscriber base have enough to fall in love with them and their content. Netflix, in this race, has thrown its trump card into the arena—Bridgerton Season 4. Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates on the show, but there have been little to no announcements. However, to mark Valentine's Day 2025, the streamer has dropped a beautiful and intriguing teaser. The teaser hints at the new love story we are about to witness. Below is everything you need to know.
Bridgerton Season 4 Teaser Released
In the teaser for Bridgerton Season 4, we witness Luke Thompson’s Benedict meeting Yerin Ha’s Sophie for the first time at the Bridgerton masquerade ball—a delightful surprise for fans on Valentine's Day. Created by Chris Van Dusen, the season will consist of eight episodes and is based on Julia Quinn’s 2001 novel An Offer from a Gentleman, the third book in the eight-book Bridgerton series.
According to the novel, Benedict, played by Luke Thompson, falls in love with Sophie Beckett, played by Yerin Ha, the daughter of an earl who has been relegated to the role of a servant by her disdainful stepmother. The 1-minute-17-second teaser offers behind-the-scenes glimpses of the sets and the Bridgerton Season 4 team. The teaser also features Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), Colin (Luke Newton), and Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel). New cast members include Jatir Leung as Lady Araminta, Sophie’s stepmother, while Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei portray her daughters, Rosamund Li and Posy Li, respectively.
The teaser begins with Sophie saying, “It is a spectacular night.” She appears in a silver gown and mask. As the teaser progresses, we see various returning and new characters in the midst of filming. However, the highlight is undoubtedly Jonathan Bailey as Viscount Bridgerton, with the comment section brimming with praise for him. The video ends with Benedict reassuring Sophie, “Do not worry, I won't tell my mother.”
“I think the main thing we can expect is a really nice mix of fairy tale and reality. We’ve got this fairy-tale love story, yes, but it’s also got the Bridgerton element of trying to tether [that story] to some sort of reality as well. So, we’ll see how that pans out,” Luke Thompson said in a statement. Yerin Ha added, “You can expect this emotional tug-of-war, this kind of push and pull between what their hearts desire and what society desires for them.”
