Dhanraj was recently in the news for commencing work on his directorial debut, which also has him sharing screenspace alongside Samuthirakani and Harish Uthaman. The actor had multiple releases this year - Bhuvana Vijayam and Vimanam - as well. The comedian and director will now also star in the sequel to his popular thriller, Bujji Ila Raa. The film will be formally launched tomorrow.
Bujji Ila Raa 2 will be directed by noted cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Garudavega Anji. Sarvesh Murari will crank the camera for the film, which will have music by Charan Arjun. Chota K Prasad, who also worked on the original, will edit the thriller. The sequel will be produced by Kasim under My Cinemaa Taalkies. Douluri Narayana is the art director, and Prudhvi is also part of the crew.
Several popular celebrities are expected to grace the film launch tomorrow, to be held at Ramanaidu Studios. The list of film dignitaries who’ll be part of the event includes Jeevitha Rajasekhar, Omkar, Sunil, Praveen Sattaru, Sai Rajesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ashwin Babu, Satyam Rajesh, and Prince Cecil. Bujji Ila Raa 2 will be shot on a bigger budget than the first part and will have newer additions to the cast.
The prequel, Bujji Ila Raa, is already out on OTT and can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. The film unfolds against the backdrop of Warangal, where several kids get kidnapped in the city, and the crimes turn out to be a nuisance for cops. Keshava is entrusted with the case, and he is out to find the criminal. Sunil, Chandini Tamilarasan, and Srikanth Iyengar were also part of the cast.
More details about the cast in Bujji Ila Raa 2 will be announced tomorrow. The film’s director, Garudavega Anji, worked as a cinematographer for many popular films - The Angrez, PSV Garuda Vega, Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila - and became a director with the romance drama 10th Class Diaries last year.
