Bujji Ila Raa was a crime thriller that won over many critics at the time of its release in 2022. Noted cinematographer Garudavega Anji directed the film, which starred Dhanraj, Sunil and Chandini Tamilarasan in key roles. While the thriller is now out on Amazon Prime Video, the core team is reuniting for the film’s sequel, titled Bujji Ila Raa 2, which was formally launched in Hyderabad today.

Dhanraj, much like in the original, will play the lead role in the sequel as well. Bujji Ila Raa 2 is being bankrolled by Kasim under My Cinemaa Taalkies. Garudevega Anji will be directing this film as well but he will hand over cinematography duties to Sarvesh Murari. Editor Chota K Prasad continues to be associated with the crime thriller franchise and Charan Arjun has come on board as the composer.

The film comes with a tagline: No Limits. At the film launch, the makers assured that the sequel would be more emotional and expressed confidence about its potential to impress audiences. Ohmkar and popular cinematographer Senthil Kumar unveiled the logo of the film, with Sai Rajesh sounding the clapboard for the first shot. Ugram fame Vijay Kanakamedala directed the muhurtam sequence.

C Kalyan switched on the camera. The Tamil and Telugu versions of the script were handed over to the team honourably by writer Kona Kenkat and producer Damodar Prasad, respectively. The motion poster was also unveiled during the film launch. Sources suggest actors Sunil and Chandini Tamilarasan will also be joining hands with Dhanraj again for Bujji Ila Raa 2.

Garudavega Anji, whose film as a cinematographer, Ganjam, is also awaiting release in the coming weeks, made his directorial debut with 10th Class Diaries. Dhanraj, too, is turning director with a father-son drama also starring Samuthirakani and Harish Uthaman. The newer additions to Bujji Ila Raa 2’s cast, the shoot details and the release date will be confirmed shortly.
