Fans of Ajith are over the moon as the star's Valimai which released after more than two years has attracted movie lovers despite the film opening to mixed reviews. The movie which released in record number of theatres in Tamil Nadu registered the biggest opening for an Ajith-starrer.

The star is teaming up with Valimai's director Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor again for the next project, which has been tentatively titled AK 61. The movie, which is billed as a heist thriller, will go on floors in Hyderabad later this month. Ajith's appearance from the movie has already gone viral when a few photos of his from his son's birthday event got leaked. The movie is slated for a release on Deepavali this year.

As if this isn't enough, rumours have already begun with regard to the star's upcoming projects, AK 62 and AK 63. Though Siva, with whom the actor joined hands for four films, is said to have bagged the opportunity, trustable sources say that Sudha Kongara will be at the helm of AK 62.

GV Prakash is said to be coming on board for the project. The director and musician were said to be joining hands together with Suriya for another film after their successful collaboration in Soorarai Pottru (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).

It has to be seen if the trio's film will begin before AK 62. Similarly, Vishnuvardhan is said to be wielding the megaphone for AK 63. The director has previously directed Ajith in Billa (streaming on Zee5) and Arrambam (streaming on YouTube).

Yuvan Shankar Raja, who worked as the composer for both the movies, is likely to come on board as the music director. Vishnu's last outing was Bollywood flick Shershah which had a direct release on Amazon Prime Video.
