The buzz surrounding Rajinikanth's upcoming project, Thalaivar 169 (tentative title), is getting bigger with more names doing the rounds with regard to the film's cast. It was Priyanka Mohan's name which surfaced first online; the actress is said to be playing the Superstar's daughter, though no official confirmation has been made from the makers.

Later, Sivakarthikeyan who is expected to pen lyrics for a song in the movie is also said to be appearing in the project which will be produced by Sun Pictures. Anirudh has been brought on board to compose music for the film which will have Nelson Dilipkumar at the helm.

The latest we hear is that Ramya Krishnan is likely to play a crucial character in the movie. Needless to say, the news has piqued the curiousity of movie buffs. Ramya's iconic character Neelambari in Rajini-KS Ravikumar's Padayappa (streaming on YouTube) is one of the best antagonists in the history of Kollywood.

Ramya appeared in a cameo in Rajinikanth's Baba (streaming on YouTube) as well which was the latter's next release after the sensational success of Padayappa. Fans of Rajinikanth, Ramya and other film buffs have their fingers crossed ever since the news started doing the rounds.

The Superstar's yesteryear heroines Kushboo and Meena shared screen space with him after a long hiatus in his recent outing Annaatthe (streaming on Netflix) which was also bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Aishwarya Rai, Vadivelu and Yogi Babu who acted along with Rajini in Enthiran, Chandramukhi and Darbar respectively, are also rumoured to be part of Thalaivar 169's cast.

The untitled movie is expected to go on floors after June. After the mixed response for Nelson's Beast, there were rumours that he will be dropped from the project, but all those turned out to be baseless news after he himself confirmed about his inclusion in the film.
