Dollysha plays the female lead in Calling Sahasra, directed by Arun Vikkirala
Sudigali Sudheer, who gained fame with his appearances on small screen, is taking the slow and steady approach to building his career in films. After scoring a surprise hit with the 2022 release, Gaalodu, an entertainer, he is returning with another intriguing film - Calling Sahasra. The film is written and directed by Arun Vikkirala while Dollyshah is the female lead.
Calling Sahasra is jointly produced by Vijesh Kumar Tayal, Chiranjeevi Pamidi and Venkateswarulu Katuri under Shadow Media Productions and Radha Arts. Earlier today, the makers confirmed the film’s release date. The film will hit theatres in Telugu states on December 1. Nandamuri Chaitanya Krishna’s thriller Breathe too confirmed its arrival for the same weekend on December 2 this morning.
Several other small/medium budget films are expected to join the box office race for the first weekend of December. However, there’s a catch - December is already packed with many biggies, from Hi Nanna to Extra Ordinary Man to Dunki and Salaar (besides Animal and Sam Bahadur on December 1). Good word of mouth will remain crucial for Calling Sahasra and other films to survive amidst the competition.
Expressing their confidence about Calling Sahasra, the producers shared, “We’re quite happy about how our film has shaped up. There are good expectations from Calling Sahasra and we’re satisfied with the responses to the promos and the songs. We’re planning a grand release on December 1. Arun’s execution will surprise viewers, presenting Sudigali Sudheer in a new light.”
Spandana Palli, Sivabalaji and Ravi Teja Nannimala form the supporting cast of Calling Sahasra. Mohith Rahmaniac is the music director of the film while Sunny D is the cinematographer. Shivaraj is the action director and Garry BH is the editor. Two songs from the film have been launched to date - Kalaya Nijama and Kanula Neeru, with the former amassing over 2 million views on Youtube.
