Captain Miller OTT release date: Dhanush’s period action drama is directed by Arun Matheswaran and also stars Shivrajkumar and Sundeep Kishan, among others

Captain Miller, the recently released period action drama starring actor Dhanush in the lead titular role, is set to stream on Prime Video on February 9, the streaming platform announced on Friday.
Directed by Arun Matheswaran, who has also written it alongside Arunraja Kamaraj and Madhan Karky, the film is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Captain Miller also features Kannada veteran Shivarajkumar, Nassar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, and Nivedhithaa Sathish among others in pivotal roles.
What is Captain Miller all about?
The film will stream in Tamil and also be available in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film is set against the backdrop of the pre-independence era and focuses on the life of Analeesan, played by Dhanush, who, along with his elder brother Sengola (Shivarajkumar), actively participates in the Indian Independence movement. When Eesa faces a conflict with the villagers and is asked to leave, he decides to join the British Indian army to earn respect. Renamed Miller by the British, Eesa becomes part of a battalion involved in a brutal attack against local protesters. Disturbed by this, he leaves the army and transforms into the revolutionary Captain Miller.

Director Arun also said that the film will showcase the actor in a different character. “It has been incredibly rewarding to see the appreciation the film has received.
