Team Captain has unveiled its trailer which has offered more than what they had promised. The two-and-a-half promo video begins as an action film which is set against the backdrop of an army base. Arya's voiceover explains about the four stages the army resorts to while taking on perpetrators - identifying the enemy, finding their weakness, deceiving the enemy and finally, the fight.

Just when we think the movie would be another action flick which is based on patriotism and a few regular run-of-the-mill elements, the trailer surprises us with the entry of an unknown creature which poses a threat to the army.

An area called Sector 42 which is devoid of any military activity or civilian activity for 50 years suddenly becomes the focus point as people who went there have never returned. Upon investigation, they get to know that a unique, dangerous species akin to an alien exists there.

How the army team deals with the deadly species forms the rest of the story. Director Shakti Soundar Rajan has a track record of coming up with movies with plotlines which haven't been explored before in Tamil. He has done it again with Captain as well.

Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead in the project which has Simran, Kavya Shetty and Harish Uthaman essaying significant characters in it. Imman has composed music for Captain; the trio of Arya-Shakti-Imman have joined for the second time after Teddy which was released last year.

Pradeep E Ragav and S Yuva have handled editing and cinematography respectively for the film which has action choreography helmed by R Sakthi Saravanan and K Ganesh. Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies has acquired theatrical rights of the film which has been bankrolled by Arya's The Show People.
