Actor-director Samuthirakani is currently working in his upcoming Tamil film Thiru Manickam. The makers of the film, on Sunday, announced that the cast of the film has completed dubbing for their characters. Directed by Nanda Periyasamy, who last made Anandham Vilayadum Veedu, the film also stars Bharathiraja, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Chaams, Vadivukarasi, and Ilavarasu, among others.
Thiru Manickam completes dubbing
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the makers of the film announced that the cast has wrapped up dubbing for Thiru Manickam. “The Beautiful Process of Giving ‘Soul’ to the world of #ThiruManickam is completed! It’s a wrap up for Dubbing! Coming soon to fill your hearts with joy and emotions!” they wrote.
As per reports, Thiru Manickam is a societal drama set against the backdrop of Papanasam. The director said to Cinema Express, “The film highlights the difference between surviving and living. Among everyone who is trying to survive, this is a man who wishes to live. In short, the film is about how Manikkam becomes Thiru Manikkam.” He also added that the upcoming film is based on a true incident.

Thiru Manickam is directed by Nanda Periyasamy. Apart from Samuthirakani, the film also stars Bharathiraja, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Chaams, Vadivukarasi, and Ilavarasu.
The film is produced by GP Ravi Kumar, Chinta Gopala Krishna Reddy and Raja Senthil. With M Sukumar handling the cinematography, the film has music scored by Vishal Chandrasekar. SP Raja Sethupathi is in charge of the editing. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers. It is expected that the film will release in theatres in mid-2024.
Meanwhile, Samuthirakani was last seen in the recently released Jayam Ravi-starrer revenge drama Siren. The actor is also part of some of the big projects, including Indian 2 alongside Kamal Haasan and Game Changer in Telugu directed by filmmaker S Shankar. Samuthirakani also has Tamil-Telugu bilingual Ramam Raghavam. The makers of the film recently released the teaser .
