Starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi, Bell Bottom is based on the real-life hijacks by the Khalistan separatists that took India by storm in the ’80s. Akshay Kumar plays the role of a RAW agent who helps free the Indian hostages and Vaani plays his wife. Lara Dutta essays the role of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was in power at that time. Huma Qureshi also plays a pivotal role in the film directed by Ranjit M Tewari.
