Celebrity MasterChef is one of the most loved cooking reality shows. It is hosted by Farah Khan and features two famous chefs, Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar. The show airs on Sony TV and SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium). Dipika Kakar was one of the strongest contestants in Celebrity MasterChef India. However, the actress has confirmed that she is quitting the cooking show midway due to health reasons.
According to a report on India Forums, Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shiv Thakare is set to replace Dipika and enter as a wild card. However, an official confirmation is still pending.
On her YouTube channel, Kakar revealed that she had been diagnosed with lymph nodes, which were causing her pain.
For this reason, she decided to quit the show and focus on her health. "Last week when the contestants were celebrating festivals, I started getting pain in my shoulder. Since the time I reached the sets, I started getting shoulder pain and the production people took me to the hospital," she added.
Towards the end of the video, the actress mentioned that Celebrity MasterChef India will always hold a special place in her heart, as it marked her comeback on television. Dipika also assured fans that she will be back soon with an exciting new daily soap.
Meanwhile, Dipika also revealed that the episode featuring Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal was her last day on set. She completed the shoot even though she was in pain.
In the video, Dipika thanked the show's makers as well as the judges, chef Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna and Farah Khan for their support.
