As excited as Chaithra J Achar is about talking about Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B, she is also restrained by the limitation of not giving away much about her character or its dynamics with the protagonist, Manu (Rakshit Shetty). In her own words, though, she says that Surabhi is a bundle of joy and pain and that she is a confident, independent woman, whose decision-making and handling of certain situations may or may not be right. That’s about all that she’s willing to give away before the film’s release. But based on the teaser and the subsequent trailer, it is clear that there is a relationship between Manu and Surabhi. Are they friends or are they lovers? That’s a question that will be answered on November 17, when the film releases in theatres.
But how does the Manu-Surabhi relationship compare to that of Manu and Priya? This was a question posed to Chaithra during her recent interaction with the digital platform Metrosaga. As someone who has seen Side A, Chaithra knows the chemistry between Manu and Priya, but she does not know if Surabhi is aware of the same in the film. And hence, she reckons that Surabhi’s relationship with Manu is as pure as his with Priya. The dynamic between Manu and Surabhi is bolstered by the fact that both of them are flawed and come with a lot of baggage. At this point Rakshit chimed in and explained that while his relationship with Priya was natural, with Surabhi it is planned and serves as a means to an end.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A, directed by Hemanth M Rao follows the much-in-love couple Manu and Priya, who are forced apart, after his impulsive decision to take the fall in a fatal hit-and-run case, in exchange of a hefty payout. However, this plan falls flat and Manu ends up spending 10 years in prison. Side B takes off after his jail term, with Manu coming to terms with the fall outs of his decision and getting payback from those who put him in that situation.
