Fans of Kamal Haasan were in for a surprise when he took to Twitter to remember his elder brother Chandrahasan. He revealed that the latter's last film, Appathava Aattaya Pottutanga, will premiere on SonyLIV on October 8. Posting the film's trailer, he tweeted that his brother couldn't exhibit his talent on screen as he was more interested in celebrating Kamal's talent.

The Ulaganayagan also added that he is indebted to his brother forever. A couple of years ago, Kamal had unveiled the title and first look poster of the project at an event which was attended by the film's crew members. The movie has been directed by N Stephen Rangaraj and its first single was unveiled by GV Prakash Kumar earlier last year.

The one-and-a-half minute trailer has Chandrahasan, who plays Ramasamy, eloping with Sheela, who will be seen essaying Meenakshi in the movie. The film's story revolves around Meenakshi's relatives going after the elderly couple to stop their marriage. Ilavarasu and Delhi Ganesh among others play pivotal roles in the movie which has music by S Selvakumaar and bankrolled by J Jasmine under GB Studio Films. Chandrahasan, who passed away four years ago due to cardiac arrest in London, was last seen in the epic film Hey Ram, directed by Kamal Haasan.
