Lawrence plays the lead in the movie which has Kangana essaying a crucial role
RD Rajasekar with P Vasu
The shooting of Chandramukhi 2 commenced a few months ago at Mysore after Lawrence, who plays the lead in it, took blessings from Rajinikanth, who headlined Chandramukhi in 2005. P Vasu, who directed the first installment, is helming the sequel as well, though makers are yet to reveal how they are making the second part with a different hero.
The project, bankrolled by Lyca Productions, stars Kangana Ranaut in a crucial character. The Bollywood actress had revealed recently that it is quite a challenge to match the performance of Jyotika who played a similar character almost two decades ago.
The film's cinematographer RD Rajasekar has now unveiled a few BTS pictures from the shooting spot. He is seen setting up a frame along with P Vasu in a still. Another picture has him cranking the ARRI ALEXA 35 camera for an important action sequence in the movie.
Ravi Varma is in charge of stunt scenes and the team was shooting in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Radhika, Ravi Mariya, Vadivelu and Subiksha among others essay crucial roles in the project which is expected to hit the screens later this year.
A video from the shooting location of Chandramukhi 2 featuring Vadivelu recreating his popular comedy scene from Sura did the rounds on social media sometime ago. Radhika and Lawrence were seen enjoying the legendary comedian's performance in awe.
The makers are expected to announce the movie's release date after the shooting is completed. Netflix has bagged the post theatrical rights of the horror flick.
