Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is riding high on the success of his film, Chhaava. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the movie is based on the life of brave Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Vicky has been appreciated for his performance in the historical drama. Days after his film's release, the actor visited Raigad fort for the first time on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. Vicky sought blessings from him.

While sharing his Instagram post, Vicky mentioned, "Today on the occasion of ChhatrapatiShivajiJayanti, I had the good fortune of paying my respects at RaigadFort. It was my first time here and there couldn’t have been a better time to come and take blessings from Maharaj. आप सभी को छत्रपति शिवाजी जयंती की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ! जय जिजाऊ, जय शिवराय, जय शंभू | (sic)."
Vicky Kaushal on prep for his role in Chhaava
During a segment with IMDb, Vicky Kaushal shared details about his intense prep for his role in Laxman Utekar's Chhaava. The actor said, "I think for me, Chhaava has been the most physically challenging film that I have ever done to date. From putting on 25 kgs of weight to undergoing rigorous, continuous training for about a year, including horse riding, and word fighting, I can't even count the number of action sequences in the film."
He further recalled shooting 'massive crowd scenes' with around 2,000 people, 100 horses and elephants. For him, the most challenging part was to work on the physicality and action sequences.
