Chhaava Telugu Box Office Day 2: Vicky Kaushal’s film surpasses day one earnings

Chhaava is a smash hit in Hindi and continues to earn big at the box office. Seeing the demand for the Telugu version, mega-producer Allu Aravind acquired the rights and released the film in Telugu on March 7, 2025. Given the strong buzz surrounding the film, Chhaava opened on a solid note, collecting ₹3 crore on its first day in the Telugu states.

With highly positive word of mouth, the film performed even better on its second day, raking in ₹3.5 crore, which is an improvement over day one. This growth indicates Chhaava's rising popularity among Telugu audiences. With this, the total collection of the film is Rs 6.5 crore net. Interestingly, lead actor Vicky Kaushal did not promote the Telugu version, yet the response has been phenomenal. One can only imagine the impact if he had visited Hyderabad and actively promoted the film.

A major factor contributing to the film's success is the presence of Rashmika Mandanna, a well-known actress in Telugu cinema, as the female lead. Additionally, Chhaava has benefited from the lack of major Telugu releases this week, with only a few low-budget films hitting the screens, none of which pose a significant threat to its box office performance.

Allu Aravind released Chhaava in Telugu

Director Laxman Utekar recently addressed the press in Hyderabad, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response from Telugu audiences. The film was expected to see even higher occupancy on Sunday, but with the Champions Trophy final featuring India, collections might witness a temporary slowdown.

Despite this, Chhaava shows no signs of slowing down and is set to bring in significant profits for producer Allu Aravind and his team, led by Bunny Vas. A.R. Rahman composed the film’s music, which has been a talking point for various reasons.

While some have criticized Chhaava, calling it a propaganda film that portrays Mughal emperors negatively to create a Hindu-Muslim divide, this controversy has not affected its box office performance. Audiences continue to appreciate Vicky Kaushal’s powerful performance in this historical drama. It remains to be seen how much more Chhaava will earn in the coming days.
