Chiranjeevi delivered one of the biggest flops of his career with Bholaa Shankar. The film failed so miserably that he faced massive trolling for the first time and went into hiding. However, he quietly signed a film titled Vishwambhara, which has completed its shoot and is now awaiting a release date.

Directed by Vassishta, Vishwambhara was initially scheduled for release during Sankranthi 2025. However, Chiranjeevi stepped aside to allow his son, Ram Charan, to release his film on January 10, 2025. Since then, speculations about Vishwambhara’s release date have been circulating, but nothing has been officially confirmed. Reports suggest that the film will now be released on May 9, 2025.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi has signed another film with star director Anil Ravipudi. Touted as a comedy caper, this project is set to commence filming in June and will be released in 2026. According to exclusive information from OTTplay, Chiranjeevi has locked January 10, 2026, as the release date for this highly anticipated film. Sahu Garapati is producing the project, and both he and Anil Ravipudi believe it will be the perfect entertainer for the lucrative Sankranthi season.

While other big films are expected to compete for the festival release, sources indicate that Chiranjeevi has already secured the date. The official announcement is expected during the film’s launch event. Anil Ravipudi, known for making films on moderate budgets, directed Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, which was made for ₹54 crore and grossed over ₹300 crore at the box office. However, working with a superstar like Chiranjeevi brings different financial dynamics, and reports suggest that Chiranjeevi has charged a hefty sum for this film.
