Chiranjeevi is gearing up with the remake of the Malayalam hit Bro Daddy which had Mohanlal and Prithviraj in lead roles. Read to know the cast and what changes are being done to the remake
It is a known fact that megastar Chiranjeevi's daughter, Sushmita Konidela is turning into a full-fledged producer with the remake of the Malayalam hit Bro Daddy. The original had Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaram in lead roles and in the Telugu remake, Chiranjeevi will headline the film and the word is that Sharwanand will be reprising the role of Prithviraj. An official confirmation about this is yet to be made.
On the other hand, the news is that the writers of the Telugu version have made some key changes to the remake. In the original, Prithiviraj played the son of Mohanlal, and in Telugu, Sharwa will not reprise the same son's role and will be seen as a brother to Chiranjeevi as per the news.
Kalyan Krishna, who made films like Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bangagraju with Nagarjuna will be helming the remake. The film will be made on a tight budget and there was news that Ram Charan will be playing the role of Prithviraj. But as he is busy, the makers have approached Sharwanand.
Bro Daddy is about the story of a father and son whose partners get pregnant at the same time and this creates chaos in the family leading to some over-the-top funny situations. As Chiranjeevi loved the film, he is keen to remake the film but wants key changes in the script. Sushmita Konidela is making sure the film has hilarious comedy and attracts the family audience as well.
The script sessions are going on at a brisk pace and very soon, the launch date of the film will be announced. As of now, Chiranjeevi is busy promoting his new film Bholaa Shankar which has been directed by Meher Ramesh. The film hits the screens on August 11, 2023. Tamannah and Keerthy Suresh play the female lead in this film which has music by Mahati Swara Sagar.
