Chiyaan Vikram, the National Award-winning actor is currently on a signing spree and has some promising projects in the pipeline. The popular star is set to team up with Chithha director SU Arun Kumar for his 62nd outing in cinema. The project, which has been tentatively titled Chiyaan 62, was launched a few weeks back with a promising announcement teaser. Now, the sources close to the Vikram starrer have dropped a major update on the project.
Chiyaan 62 to start rolling in March 2024
As per the latest updates, Chiyaan Vikram and director SU Arun Kumar are planning to kickstart the shooting of their untitled project, in March 2024. Reportedly, the talented filmmaker is currently busy with the final stage scripting of Chiyaan 62, which is touted to be a rustic action thriller. If things go as planned, the pre-production works of the highly anticipated project will begin immediately after Vikram and Arun Kumar lock the final draft of the script. Major updates on the shooting schedule and supporting cast are expected to be out soon.

About Chiyaan 62
From the announcement teaser, it is evident that Chiyaan Vikram is set to play a middle-aged man from a small town named Thiruttani of Tiruvallur district in Chennai. In the teaser, a woman is seen rushing into a local police station to register a complaint, while the accused men follow her. However, an unnamed man (Vikram) enters the station and beats up the accused who followed the woman.

Before he leaves, the man whispers something to a police guard and further adds: “I’ll be at my store. Kalaivani Enterprises, North Street, Thiruthani 631209.” As per the reports, the team is yet to finalise the female lead and the rest of the star cast of the untitled project. National award winner GV Prakash Kumar is composing the songs and original score. The project is bankrolled by Riya Shibu, under the banner HR Pictures.
