Vikram's Anniyan and Suriya's Singam franchise were huge hits among the Tollywood audience. The movies created a huge market for the Tamil stars in Telugu states. One of the major reasons why they connected easily with the audience there is because of the voice lent by Srinivasa Murthy to them in the dubbed versions.

The talented artist passed away yesterday in Chennai following a cardiac arrest. Many fans have been taking to social media to express shock and grief over his untimely demise. Mohanlal, Ajith and Hrithik Roshan are a few other actors to whom he had lent voice in recent years.

Both Vikram and Suriya took to their Twitter pages to mourn the demise of Murthy. The former said that Murthy's magnetic voice lent credence and beauty to the characters he played in Telugu and that he would never forget his association during the times of Anniyan.

After a while, he shared a video in which Murthy is seen impressing the audience during a reality show. It has him imitating Vikram's popular performance from Anniyan. The Ponniyin Selvan star tweeted, "You and your delightful craft will be missed dearly my friend. #RIPSrinivasaMurthy (sic)."

Suriya considered Murthy's demise as a personal loss and took to social media to tweet, "This is a huge personal loss! Srinivasamurthy Garu’s voice & emotions gave life to my performances in Telugu. Will miss you Dear Sir! Gone too soon (sic)."

Hrithik, too, mourned his death and expressed sadness on the same. He posted, "Rest in Peace Srinivasa Murthy Sir. The voice that empowered me to reach my Telugu audience. A contribution to cinema that will be missed (sic)."
