Anwar Rasheed's Chotta Mumbai takes us to the bylanes of Fort Kochi, where Mohanlal is seen as Vasco who is affectionately called 'Thala' by his friends. Jagathy Sreekumar, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manikuttan, and Bijukuttan are all part of his gang in Kochi. Sai Kumar plays Thala's father, Michael Ashan, who arranges his marriage to Latha (Bhavana). The twist comes when Thala and others witness the murder of a cop. Benny P. Nayarambalam has written this film, which is known for its vibrant cast and comedy.
