As an actor who has been in Hollywood for two decades and amassed a fortune that will last generations, Captain American star Chris Evans is not drawn to the prospect of acting these days as he was, say, a few years ago. In an interview with GQ, the actor added that even reading a script is something he now puts off, if something more interesting pops up. He’s not been on a set for a year, after doing three back-to-back projects, as a result of a scheduling error. Ideally, he was quoted as saying, he’d do one film a year, and that too if the time of the year that filming happens suits him.

Movies, he says, is not an industry that he does not want to occupy much space in, after giving it 20 years already. He’d be more than happy making furniture, even if there was no end user, or just put on some music and get his hands dirty on pottery. It’s the Seth Rogen formula that he wants to emulate, which Chris thinks will be good for him. Working less, is, most definitely, the motto now, but at some point, the actor would like to return to filmmaking, something he’d tried his hand at way back in 2014 with Before We Go.

And while Chris’ ‘less acting’ does not sound like good news to his fans, the silver lining is that he’s got a Netflix project coming up shortly. The actor will be seen in Pain Hustlers, which is dropping on the platform on October 27. The film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, is getting a limited theatrical release in the US on October 20, following which it comes to the streamer for world-wide viewing. Initial reviews of the drama about the opioid crisis in the US, though, have been mixed, with critics saying that Emily Blunt is the saving grace of the film. To wind up the year, the actor will have a Christmas movie on Amazon Prime Video, called the Red One.
