Chrisann Pereira UAE drugs case: Sadak 2 actor finally returns to India after getting off the charges

Chrisann Pereira, who is known for films like Batla House and Sadak 2, was arrested in a drug case in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on April 1. After and long and intense legal battle, the accusation turned out to be framed which got the Indian actress out of all charges. Meanwhile, after spending a tough time in a foreign land, Chrisann returned to Mumbai on August 3. 

After getting arrested on April 1, Pereira was released by the UAE authority on April 26, when Anthony Paul and Rajesh Babhote were arrested by the Mumbai crime branch for reportedly shipping the drugs in a trophy with the actress without her knowledge to Sharjah, UAE.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, earlier this year on April 1, Pereira went to Sarjah for an audition and a little before boarding the flight she got the trophy stuffed with drugs and was told that it's a prop. As soon as she landed in UAE, the actress was arrested on the charges of drug possession.

Post her jail term in Sharjah Central prison, Chrisann was received at the Mumbai airport by her brother, Kevin, who shared an adorable video on his official Instagram handle with a special caption that showcases his love and excitement to get his sister back after over four months.
