CID 2 is one of the most loved TV shows among fans because of the OG trio, Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Aditya Srivastava (Inspector Abhijeet), and Dayanand Shetty (Inspector Daya). ACP Pradyuman, who had a sudden break from the show, has now returned to the cast again. However, in the new promo, we can see him pointing a gun at Daya.

On May 31, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new promo for CID 2. In the clip, we see Daya informing his team, including Abhijeet, that ACP Pradyuman is alive. Hearing this, Abhijeet asked where ACP Sir had been all these days. The next scene shows ACP Pradyuman pointing a gun at Daya and telling him that he does not know any Daya, and shoots. Reacting to the new promo, one fan said, "Damn excited for tonight's episode." Another commented, "Thank God ACP is back wou so excited." What happened to ACP Pradyuman in CID 2?

In CID season 2, the character of ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, was reportedly killed in a bomb blast, though his death was not shown on screen. Following this storyline, the channel confirmed the death of his character through a tribute post on social media. However, reports later emerged that ACP Pradyuman was not actually dead and the character would be making a comeback. While Pradyuman was absent, Parth Samthaan was cast as ACP Ayushman. But he recently confirmed that he will quit the show.

Parth Samthaan quits CID 2

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Parth confirmed that he will quit CID 2 as ACP Ayushman. The actor said, "It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of a cult show like CID, even if it’s just for a brief period. I was on board for a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got extended for a couple of months." He also said that he has other work commitments lined up and won't be able to continue the show.
