CID is not just a show but a nostalgia. CID returned with its second season after a 6-year gap in December 2024. The iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty returned to their much-loved roles as ACP Pradyuman and Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya. Almost after year later, CID 2 is now all set to end its journey in December 2025.

The teaser shows ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Abhijeet gearing up for the last time as they prepare themselves for an intense investigative battle. Towards the end, it shows Daya getting shot with a bullet, hinting at a tense finale. 

CID 2 season finale will premiere on December 13 and 14 on SonyLIV and Sony TV. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription. 

Sharing the teaser, the makers captioned the Instagram post, "Kya aap aakhri jung ke liye taiyaar hain? Dekhiye #CID Season Finale, iss Sat-Sun raat 7 baje sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision aur SonyLIV par."

Fans react to CID 2 finale

Reacting to the news of CID 2 finale, one fan said, "Aakhri Jung mein Ham CID ke Sath Hain." Another commented, "DON'T DO THIS DON'T STOP CID... COMEBACK WITH SEASON 3 SOON PLEASE."

"We need season 3," wrote another. "The audience is very disappointed that CID Season 2 is ending. People love this show deeply and want it to continue. Shivaji Satam on CID 2 ending and CID 3

During an interview with Telly Express (Gossips TV), Shivaji Satam confirmed that the makers of CID 2 are ending the show. He also said that despite the low TRPs, the rhythm of the new season remains "unchanged" among the show's loyal fans. According to reports, CID 2 is scheduled to end on December 14, 2025.

According to the portal, Shivaji has expressed his desire to return as ACP Pradyumna in CID 3. However, the final decision will be taken by the makers.
