CID 2: Shivaji Satam makes grand re-entry as ACP Pradyuman with his popular swag; 'Picture abhi baaki hai'

A few months ago, CID 2 suddenly showed that Shivaji Satam's ACP Pradyuman had a fire accident and that he might have died, which left fans disappointed. Following this, ACP Ayushman joined the cast, and it was played by Parth Samthaan. But, recently, Parth confirmed that he will quit the show as ACP Pradyuman is back again. Now, the makers shared a new promo of CID 2 featuring ACP Pradyuman, who is seen having a seat in his office like old times.

On May 29, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new promo of CID 2. The clip shows Shivaji Satam making a grand re-entry to his investigative office as ACP Pradyuman. He can be seen staring at the CID logo on the wall with his iconic pose. He sits on the chair, wears sunglasses, and takes a sip of coffee as he gets ready to investigate with his team.

Sharing the promo, the makers captioned it, "Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost Dekhiye #CID Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."

Fans react to CID 2 new promo

Reacting to the promo, one fan said, "What an entry Boss is back in action." Another commented, "ACP sir is back iam happy." A third fan said, "The real OG of CID.. Welcome back sir .... very happy." 

"I am very happy to seee you again sir because when your death scene in cid episodes I am crying a lot to see your death scene," read one comment. Another comment read, "Wowww!! The OG Bass is Back! heartiest welcome to our ACP Pradyuman sir @shivaaji_satam sir excited a lotttt."

Parth Samthaan on leaving CID 2

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Parth confirmed that he will take his leave from CID 2 as ACP Ayushman. The actor said, "It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of a cult show like CID, even if it’s just for a brief period. I was on board for a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got extended for a couple of months."

Parth also revealed that he has other work commitments lined up, hence he won’t be continuing for long. "But yes, I’m grateful for all the love and support the audience has shown during my brief stint," he said.
