Gurmeet Choudhary's new project, a web show Commander Karan Saxena, is out on Disney+ Hotstar. Directed by Jatin Wagle, the series premiered on July 8, 2024. The new episodes of Gurmeet's OTT show will drop from Monday to Friday on the streaming platform. A day after the show's premiere, the streamer dropped the rap anthem of Commander Karan Saxena. Gurmeet has also made his singing debut with this introductory track of his character.

Gurmeet Choudhary's massy avatar is the highlight of Commander Karan Saxena's rap anthem. This track also highlights the main traits of his character, a RAW agent who goes all out to protect his nation and seeks justice for his fallen comrade. In an official statement (as per Bollywood Hungama), Gurmeet said he was overwhelmed with pride while singing the track. The actor admitted that he was skeptical about crooning the anthem as he hadn't sung before. However, Choudhary took inspiration from Badshah to completely immerse himself in the song.
"I feel I have played my part now by giving a small tribute from my side to the heroes of our nation. It was surreal singing for the first time and going out of my comfort zone," he added.

Meanwhile, Gurmeet Choudhary opened up about his transformation for the titular role in Commander Karan Saxena. The actor shared a before-and-after photo on his official Instagram account.
"From grueling workouts to being strict discipline, every effort was worth it. This new avatar is not just about physical strength but also about the mental and emotional resilience it takes to lead and protect (sic)," a part of his note read.
