Constable OTT release date: When, where to stream Varun Sandesh's crime thriller

Varun Sandesh is back, and how. After seeing a lull in his career, he is now doing back-to-back films and OTT shows. His new Telugu OTT show, Nayanam, ended as a smash hit with audiences and is now streaming on OTTplay Premium. Apart from this, he is also signing films one after the other.

One of these films, released at the end of 2025, is Constable, a cop thriller directed by Aryan Subhan. The film has completed its theatrical run and is now all set for its OTT release. 

We at OTTplay have learned that ETV Win has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price and will stream it from January 29, 2026.

Madhulika Varanasi played the female lead in this film, which was made on a very low budget. Though the film received decent reviews, it did not click at the box office and ended as a disappointment. Once the film lands on OTT, you can also stream it on OTTplay Premium.

Varun Sandesh started his career with Happy Days, which is considered a cult classic. He delivered several hits that made him a bankable actor in Telugu cinema. However, after starring in a few unsuccessful films, he was sidelined, and it took him a considerable amount of time to make a comeback.

Constable showcases Varun as a cop for the first time in his career, and he delivers a solid performance in the thriller. Hit or flop, Varun has always given sincere performances in his films, though this did not always bring him success. Things have changed with Nayanam, and Varun has some big films lined up in the days to come.

Constable is about a small-time cop who loses his niece to a brutal murder. When the system does not support him, he takes matters into his own hands and tracks down the culprit behind the crime. Constable makes for a perfect OTT watch, and it remains to be seen how the film fares once it lands on OTTplay Premium.
