The Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie, which is currently running in theatres, has become the highest grosser this year in Tamil cinema. Yet, the action thriller has been struggling at the box office during its second week. With 15 days of run, Coolie has collected Rs 270 crore in India.

Coolie, the 2025 Tamil action thriller film, which has Rajinikanth play the lead role, has collected over Rs 200 crore at the box office. It has been two weeks since the film hit theatres, and as per Sacnilk report, Coolie has collected Rs 270 crore so far. While there had been an increase during the Vinayakar Chaturthi festival and weekend, the film's collection has dropped once again. Coolie on Wednesday collected Rs 4.85 crore, thanks to the festive season, but went back to Rs 1.75 crore on the following day (Thursday).
Coolie’s theatrical run is expected to get cut short next week, given Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Madharaasi is set to release on September 5. Major theatres might allocate screens to the new film, while Coolie is expected to run with limited shows. It is also possible that the Onam releases, such as Hridayapoorvam and Lokah: Chapter 1, might replace Coolie shows owing to good reviews.
