The much-awaited Coolie update for Rajinikanth's birthday is here! Team Coolie released a short music video from the film, which is called Chikitu Vibe and has vocals by T Rajendar.
Rajinikanth, who is celebrating his birthday on Thursday, is currently working with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj in a film titled Coolie. To celebrate his birthday, the makers of the film released a short music video Chikitu Vibe. With veteran filmmaker T Rajendar singing, Arivu who has penned the lyrics, has also crooned for the song along with Anirudh Ravichander.
The nearly-a-minute teaser begins with Rajendar's famous beats, as Rajinikanth shakes his leg with a group of people. It looks like a dance of celebration, as we are not shown anything more.
Coolie stars Rajinikanth in the lead role and is written and directed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. It marks the first time the director is working with the superstar. It is to be noted that earlier a leaked video from the shooting sets of Coolie was doing the rounds on social media. However, Lokesh Kanagaraj appealed to fans to not circulate or encourage such activities.
Coolie features a star ensemble, including actors Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and Nagarjuna. As per the latest reports, it is also believed that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has joined the sets of the film, which is currently under production in Jaipur. It is to be noted that Lokesh clarified earlier that Coolie will not fall under his LCU brand of films.
The film is produced by Sun Pictures and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Expected to be a gangster action drama, Coolie is Rajinikanth’s 171th outing as the lead actor. The technical crew consists of Girish Gangadharan cranking the camera and National Award-winning stunt coordinators Anbariv associated with the project.
The makers of Coolie have not yet announced the release date. However, it is expected that the film will hit big screens sometime in 2025.
