Corona Dhavan OTT release confirmed! Here’s when and where you can stream Sreenath Bhasi, Lukman Avaran’s comedy film

Director Nithin CC’s film Corona Dhavan, starring Lukman Avaran, is gearing up for its OTT release. Scripted by Sujai Mohanraj, the comedy entertainer revolves around the efforts of a few drunkards in a village to find alcohol during the Covid-19 pandemic. Sruthy Jayan, who is known for her works in Angamaly Diaries and Kurukkan, plays the female lead in Corona Dhavan, while Sreenath Bhasi, Johny Antony, Irshad Ali and Seema G Nair are also part of the cast.

What is Corona Dhavan about?

The story of Corona Dhavan is set in a rural environment, where Vinu (Lukman) obtains and stores some liquor bottles for his sister's wedding. However, when the wedding gets cancelled due to the pandemic, Vinu becomes the only source of alcohol for the drunkards in the locality.

The film is based on actual events that occurred during the lockdown period. It portrays the situation of alcoholics during the pandemic, and aims to entertain viewers rather than discuss the adverse effects of alcoholism.

Corona Dhavan is a comedy film that relies on a number of subplots. There are excise officers who attempt to seize the stored alcohol, police officers who crave it and Vinu’s friends who enjoy a drink. They ultimately merge in the film’s climax, resulting in chaos and non-stop laughter.

The movie is appreciated for some incredible performances by Lukman, Johny and Sarath. Corona Dhavan is one of the few Malayalam films, along with Jo and Jo, that tries to put a humorous spin on the events of the pandemic.

The streaming rights of Corona Dhavan is bagged by Saina Play, and the film is expected to drop on the platform later this month.
