Cross Season 2 OTT release date: Season 2 of the crime drama based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross books has got a teaser and a release date

Cross, the crime thriller series by Ben Watkins based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross novel series, premiered in November 2024, with an 8-episode first season run. The second season was commissioned even before the premiere of the first and it has now been given a release date. The series follows the title character Alex Cross, a forensic psychologist and DC Metro homicide detective, who, along with his partner, detective John Sampson, pursues dangerous killers.
The show, which is on Amazon Prime Video, returns with its sophomore season on February 11, 2026. While the show is expected to drop with a full 8-episode run on the day, reports suggest that it could be a three-episode premiere, followed by weekly releases until March 18.

Cross is led by Aldis Hodge as the title character, while Isaiah Mustafa is John Hampson. Also returning for Season 2 are Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd and Johnny Ray Gill, while new faces Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason and Wes Chatham, join in. Upon its premiere, Cross recorded 40 million audiences in only 20 days, making it one of the highest rated Patterson novel adaptations.
