D50, starring S J Suryah and Vishnu Vishal along with Dhanush, is helmed by the Captain Miller star himself
Dhanush, who has been basking in the success of Captain Miller, has had the best start this 2024. But the actor, who has a line of exciting projects awaiting its release dates, has been tight-lipped about any vital information about the films. However, according to the latest reports, the actor's upcoming gangster drama, D 50, has reportedly zeroed in for an April release.
The film, which is rumoured to have been titled Raayan, is said to be releasing on April 11. However, an official confirmation is awaited. The film is currently in its post-production stage and is expected to unveil all key details soon.
D 50, which is directed by Dhanush himself, is touted to be a gangster action drama, based on true events. Starring Vishnu Vishal, S J Suryah and Dhanush, the movie is said to be made against the backdrop of Vada Chennai (North Chennai) and follows the lives of three brothers, played by the lead cast. Besides the lead star cast, the film will also feature Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Anikha Surendran and Sundeep Kishan in pivotal roles.
The Captain Miller, star who made his directorial debut with Pa Pandi in 2017, is all set to direct not one but two exciting projects this year. The actor’s upcoming directorial Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is going to be an out-and-out romantic drama. The film includes a young star cast featuring Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Mohan, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan. Apart from Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, D50 is also in his directorial pipeline.
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s latest Pongal outing Captain Miller which soared high at the box office is all set to make its digital debut after a successful theatrical run. The film will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime starting from February 9.
