D50 update - We reveal when the first-look of Dhanush’s film will drop

D50, among Dhanush's most ambitious films as a director, has been in the news for a while, with fans eager for any update. So the Captain Miller star has given a major update about the film. Dhanush took to his social media pages to share that the film’s first first-look poster will be released on February 19. 

The actor shared this exciting news along with an intriguing poster from the film. Although his face is not revealed, the poster features Dhanush flexing his back muscles with blood dripping from his neck. This intriguing poster has left everyone curious to find out what the actor’s avatar is like in the film. Well, that answer will most likely be revealed on February 19.

D50: An out-and-out gangster action drama

Dhanush made his directorial debut with the 2017 film Power Pandi. D50 is the actor's 50th film, which he is also directing. The film is touted as a gangster action drama that is based on true events. Also starring Vishnu Vishal and SJ Suryah, the movie is set in Vada Chennai (North Chennai) and follows the lives of three brothers (played by Dhanush, Vishnu and Suryah). Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Anikha Surendran and Sundeep Kishan will also be seen in prominent roles.

Raayan, the rumoured title of D50

Although the film's team has yet to announce any key details, some reports suggest that it has been titled Raayan. Before that, it was rumoured to be Kaathavaraayan. According to inside sources, Raayan is most likely the title of the film. D50 is currently in its post-production stage and will most likely be released in theatres in April.

Dhanush’s third directorial, Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, aka NEEK

Apart from D50, the actor is also gearing up for the release of his third directorial venture, Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), which is an out-and-out romantic drama. The film has a young star cast of Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Mohan, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan.
