Dada OTT release date: When and where to watch the romantic drama starring Kavin, Aparna Das online

The biggest surprise Kollywood has witnessed this year so far is the success of Dada, which has been directed by debutant Ganesh K Babu. The film, starring Kavin and Aparna Das, evoked interest among movie buffs ever since its trailer was unveiled. It went on to become a huge hit, thanks to positive reviews from critics and the audience.

Engaging screenplay, relatable conflicts and convincing performances from lead actors are highlights of the movie which was initially meant for a direct-to-OTT release. However, makers couldn't finalize the deal and opted for a theatrical release.

The film's team expressed excitement recently when the likes of Dhanush and Karthi heaped praise on the movie. Kavin and Aparna thanked them and said that they are indeed grateful to the Sardar star and Vaathi star for encouraging young stars like them. Dada witnessed a surge in footfalls after a week's time and a few exhibitors expressed joy on the same.

The movie revolves around a young live-in couple who become parents before they complete their studies. How they separate from each other owing to an unexpected situation forms the rest of the story.

Dada is gearing up for its OTT premiere now. The romantic drama will drop on Amazon Prime on March 10, exactly a month after its theatrical release. This is the second hit Tamil outing to drop on Amazon this year after Vijay's Varisu. Makers hope that the film is likely to garner more appreciation after its digital premiere.

Bhagyaraj, Aishwarya, VTV Ganesh, Pradeep Antony and Fouziee play pivotal roles in the project which has cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K and editing by Kathiresh Alagesan. Jen Martin has composed music for the film which has been bankrolled by Ambeth Kumar of Olympia Movies.
