The plot thickens as he appears to assume the persona of the ferocious Rudra avatar during his last Mahashivratri performance, when the boundary between his onstage persona and true divinity begins to dissolve. Duty, religion, and destiny are larger, more universal issues, and this event starts a profoundly individual and spiritual journey along those lines.
