When Deepika Padukone made her debut in Bollywood with the Farah Khan directed ‘Om Shanti Om’, little did anyone know that this ‘bubbli-cious’ lady will put India on the global map in a very short span of time. Besides reigning in Bollywood as well as in the hearts of her millions of fans and followers, Deepika also added acting in Hollywood films to her long list of achievements.
Speaking of achievements, it seems that there is no stopping this ‘Om Shanti Om’ lady. The latest achievement in her cap is that she has now been featured on the cover of the prestigious TIME Magazine for the May 2023 edition of this magazine. Well... her list of achievements just does not stop here. With this, Deepika Padukone became the only Indian to be honored twice by the prestigious TIME magazine.
With Deepika Padukone being featured on the cover of ‘TIME’ magazine, it only means that, she now joins the prestigious list of globally famous and powerful names like Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama and other towering personalities.
Only a few weeks ago, Deepika Padukone also went onto become the first Indian to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy. Besides that, she was also an integral part of the eight-member jury at the recently held ‘Cannes Film Festival’.
On the professional front, Deepika Padukone just delivered a monster hit with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’. Besides this, Deepika Padukone will be seen with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor in ‘Fighter’ as well as the film titled ‘Project K’, which stars Prabhas and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.
A couple of days ago, the (late) Irrfan Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Piku’ had clocked 8 years. On this occasion, Deepika Padukone took to social media and posted, “It’s been 8 years since this gem of a movie released with these 2 very special people. And if I could relive this experience all over again, I’d do it in a heartbeat. @irrfan, I miss you! @amitabhbachchan, @sircarshoojit & @juhic3 I love you! To everyone who made this film possible, thank you for your energy. #Piku”.
