Deepika Padukone to play a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara's much-awaited film Jawan

It was three weeks ago that makers of Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, revealed the title announcement video, which also offered a glimpse of the star's appearance from the film. The Atlee directorial marks his debut in Bollywood, apart from Nayanthara's too, who plays the female lead in the movie.

The film, which will be released in five languages, will hit the screens on June 2, 2023. Young composer Anirudh Ravichander, who is on a roll in Kollywood, has been roped in as the music director of the much-awaited project. This is his first collaboration with Atlee as well.

According to an article in Pinkvilla, Deepika Padukone is likely to play a cameo in the movie which is bankrolled by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment. Sanya Malhotra, Rana Daggubati and Sunil Grover have already been brought on board to essay pivotal characters in the project.

It is heard that the Om Shanti Om actress is yet to sign the agreement officially, though she has expressed interest to play a special part in the film when she was approached by the Jawan team. Another leading actor is also said to be appearing in a brief role in Jawan.

Deepika, who has shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year, will join hands with the latter in Pathaan, too, which is set for a grand theatrical release in January 2023.

Meanwhile, the Piku actress will be seen playing a cameo in Ayan Mukerji's much-awaited multi-starrer sci-fi flick Brahmastra as well. The most-anticipated big-budget movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Nagarjuna is releasing on September 9 in multiple languages.
