Amid Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release, Harshvardhan Rane recently announced his new film, Deewaniyat. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film intends to be a soul-stirring musical love story. Harshvardhan revealed that his next movie would be a tale of 'love, heartbreak and music'. Days after the announcement, the makers have found the film's leading lady. Actress Sonam Bajwa has joined Deewaniyat's star cast as the female lead.
Sonam Bajwa joins Deewaniyat
Sonam Bajwa expressed excitement about doing Deewaniyat. The actress will share screen space with Harshvardhan Rane in Milap Zaveri's film. Sharing a new motion poster of Deewaniyat on Instagram, Sonam captioned her post: "So thrilled to bring the fire of love to #Deewaniyat! An intense saga of passion & heartbreak, starring alongside the amazing @harshvardhanrane! (sic)."
Sonam and Harshvardhan's film has been produced by Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan under Vikir Motion Pictures. The movie has been written by Mushtaq Sheikh and Milap Zaveri. The intense love saga is all set to go on floors soon. It will hit the big screen later this year. "Can’t wait for you all to witness this madness of love! (sic)," added Sonam.

For those unaware, Deewaniyat was officially announced after the phenomenal success of Sanam Teri Kasam's re-release. Harshvardhan earlier revealed that the movie's story will 'echo in people's hearts forever'.
Sonam Bajwa's Bollywood movies
On the work front, Sonam Bajwa, who predominantly works in Punjabi movies, has few Hindi films up for release. She will be seen in Tarun Mansukhani's Housefull 5 with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Soundarya Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Fardeen Khan and others. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 6, 2025.
The actress is also an integral part of Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4. Directed by A. Harsha, the action-thriller stars Sanjay Dutt and Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu. It will be out in cinemas on September 5, 2025.
