Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie 1 trailer: Tanjiro to finally fight Akaza, seek revenge for Rengoku after Mugen Train incident

The much-awaited Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie Part 1 trailer has revealed the long-anticipated fight between Tanjiro and Akaza. They both have been waiting to pick up their swords against one another since Mugen Train, and the moment gets closer. The trailer of the movie that is officially titled Akaza’s Return unveils that the much-awaited fight will happen. Here's everything you can expect...

Tanjiro's side

Kamado Tanjiro has been waiting for the moment to fight Muzan, but that would be the ultimate battle. He had been training with Giyu Tomioka for the biggest battle, and it was interrupted by Muzan who killed the ultimate master, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Tanjiro is already furious and he has not forgotten how Akaza, ranked third in Upper Rank Three among demons (the most powerful after Muzan) killed Fire Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku without using much of his potential just because it was about to be daytime.

Akaza's side

Like Tanjiro, Akaza has also waited for the day he could fight Tanjiro ever since the Mugen Train incident. He has been anxious since, and the makers have shown us the same throughout the arcs. Finally, he sees it as an opportunity to seek revenge for insulting his skills by keeping him occupied till daylight back when the Mugen Train incident happened. This is sure to be an interesting fight, since both Tanjiro and Akaza have waited for a long time.

Shinobu Kocho's story likely to be explored

With Kanao Tsuyuri also fighting Upper Rank Two Doma and Butterfly Hashira Shinobu Kocho's reason for death being hinted at, the backstory to Kocho's battle that led to her ultimate demise could be explored with the first movie from Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie: Part 1.

There is still no confirmation on whether the makers intend to introduce Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle as a series like the previous seasons. The first movie will release in Indian theatres on September 12, 2025.
