Deva box office collection day 6: Shahid Kapoor's return to the big screen after almost a year with Deva generated significant buzz. The movie, which marks Rosshan Andrrews’ Hindi debut, was one of the most talked-about films in India. Its songs, catchy teaser, and intriguing trailer worked in its favor. The film opened to strong numbers, hinting at a promising run. However, it lost momentum quickly, and as we approach Day 7, the Day 6 collections confirm its growth is now limited. The film will need a significant boost to regain traction in both domestic and international markets.
Deva Box Office Update
Deva, starring Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Pavail Gulati in lead roles, is written and directed by Rosshan Andrrews. The film, a remake of the Malayalam movie Mumbai Police, follows a cop who loses his memory and must piece together the past to solve a tragedy in his life. It opened to strong collections that matched expectations. However, the momentum didn’t last a week, as Day 6 showed no growth, staying in a low collection bracket.
As per Sacnilk, Deva earned only Rs 2.4 crore on its sixth day. There is little difference between the Day 5 and Day 6 collections. The India gross of the thriller stands at Rs 29.1 crore, with a net collection of Rs 26.7 crore.
The film has earned Rs 12.5 crore overseas, bringing the total collection to Rs 44 crore. This means the Shahid Kapoor-led movie has yet to cross the Rs 50 crore mark and faces an uphill battle to reach that milestone.
Meanwhile, today Deva completes a week in theaters. What’s commendable is that the film has maintained its run despite stiff competition. It was released while Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, was still strong at the box office. Now, tomorrow, it will be pitched against Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar.
