Actor Pavail Gulati joined the star cast of Rosshan Andrrews' film Deva. He will be seen alongside Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde in the movie, which is currently being shot. As per the latest development, Pavail refrained from using a body double to perform the action sequences in Deva. The actor initiated doing them on his own as he felt he could pull off the stunts. Some of the scenes also included hand-to-hand combat.

Pavail Gulati refuses body-double for Deva?

According to a Mid-Day report, Pavail Gulati felt that a body double's work would look inauthentic in the film Deva. "There were some challenging scenes that included hand-to-hand combat for which Rosshan sir initially considered hiring a body double. But the actor insisted on doing them," a source told the tabloid.

Since Pavail had the right physique for his character, the actor felt he could pull off the stunts. Pavail, who has shot two set-pieces so far, felt compelled to immerse himself in the physical demands of the role. It is because the actor revealed he has always been drawn to the action genre and loves sports.

Having said that, Pavail added that performing his stunts was daunting as well as a rewarding experience. And that allowed him to fully become his character.
