Shahid Kapoor's buzzcut had led to speculations of Haider 2 being made. After the rumours were dismissed, Shahid finally revealed the reason he got a new haircut done. The Bollywood actor just announced his new film on social media. Titled Deva, the movie will star Kapoor as a fearless cop. His new look is for the Rosshan Andrrews film .

Shahid Kapoor's Deva to release on THIS date

Shahid Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space with Pooja Hegde in the film. Deva, helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, will release during Dussehra 2024, on October 11. Siddharth Roy Kapur has backed the project under his production venture, Roy Kapur Films.

According to India Today, the brief given about the movie is: "Brilliant yet rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case. As he delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal, leading him down a thrilling and dangerous path."

Shahid Kapoor's 2023 projects

Shahid made his OTT debut earlier this year with Farzi. He shared screen space with Raashii Khanna in the Raj and DK web show. It premiered on Amazon Prime Video. After its roaring success, Kapoor featured in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bloody Daddy, which was released on JioCinema. 

His upcoming projects

On the work front, Shahid has an untitled film with Kriti Sanon lined up. The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release this December. However, the makers have now pushed its release to February 9, 2024. The makers of the movie are yet to make an official announcement about the film's title.

It was reported that Kapoor will play the lead role in Haider 2. However, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj debunked the speculations about Haider's sequel, in an interview. The first version released in cinemas in 2014. Kapoor recently celebrated 9 years of his iconic movie.
